Our philosophy

"Young Piano Series" was created with the aim of practicing sustainable promotion of young pianists and thereby taking responsibility for the classical music of tomorrow. We see ourselves a platform for mediation between young international artists and the local audience. Between these two poles we would like to enable an extended space of communication, where artist and audience are able to meet on different levels. In this way, we seek to reach and touch a diverse audience.

In our first season, we have explored contemporary selection processes: Who has the right to decide who gets a stage? To do this, we explore three approaches: The soloist of the first concert is chosen by the local audience itself, the second by an international jury and the third through an open call. We will explore this dynamic tension in three further concerts during the 2024/25 season.
